Summary: Use AI Form Fill on the full-page form to fill from text or an image, review an AI draft, and apply the result to the form.
Updated: 2026-04-03

Use **AI Form Fill** when you want help completing a form from notes, copied text, or a photo of a paper form.

The current form page gives you three AI-related actions in the header:

- **Scan image** to capture a photo and fill the form quickly
- **Choose image** to upload an image file and fill the form quickly
- **Use AI** to open the full AI Form Fill panel with a review step

## Navigation

Open a form on its full page first.

AI Form Fill is available from the form page header, so you can start from the live form you are already working on.

## Choose how to use AI

There are two main ways to use AI on the form page:

- the fast image path from the header icons
- the full **Use AI** panel for a more reviewable draft flow

Use the fast image path when speed matters most. Use the full AI panel when you want more control before anything is applied to the form.

## Open AI Form Fill

1. Open a form from the **Forms** tab.
2. On the full-page form, look at the actions in the top right.
3. Click **Use AI** to open the AI Form Fill panel.

## Use the fast image path

Use the header image actions when the goal is simply to fill the form from a photo as quickly as possible.

You can start in either of these ways:

- click **Scan image** to capture a photo
- click **Choose image** to upload an image from the device

This path is best when speed matters more than reviewing a draft first.

## Use the full AI panel when you want review and control

Open **Use AI** when you want to:

- fill from text or image
- review what AI understood
- inspect the draft before it changes the form
- update the draft with follow-up instructions

The panel opens on the right side of the form and stays connected to the current form while you work.

## Choose text or image

Inside the AI Form Fill panel, choose one of these modes:

- **From Text** when you already have notes, copied details, or typed instructions
- **From Image** when you want to upload a paper form, work order, or photo

In **From Image**, the panel first reads the image and shows a **Text Preview** before you create the draft.

## Create a draft

AI Form Fill uses a draft-first workflow.

1. Enter text or choose an image.
2. Click **Create Draft**.
3. Review the **AI Draft** summary and matched fields.
4. Click **Apply To Form** when the draft looks right.

This review step helps you check the result before the form is updated.

## Update an existing draft

After a draft is created, you can refine it instead of starting over.

In text mode, the main text box changes to **What Should Change?**

Use it for follow-up instructions such as:

- change the due date to tomorrow
- change the operator name
- remove the PO number

Then click **Update Draft** and review the new result before you apply it.

## What works best

AI Form Fill works best when the source clearly includes:

- names or labels that match the form fields
- short values such as order numbers, dates, names, quantities, and notes
- a clear photo with readable text

It is especially helpful for paper-based work that needs to be entered into a digital form more quickly.
