# Operations App Overview

Summary: op.zira.us is the tablet-first Operations App operators use for day-to-day work, reporting, and KPI awareness.
Updated: 2026-07-12

The **Operations App** is a variant of Zira built for operators on the floor. It runs at **op.zira.us** and is designed for tablets placed at or near a work center.

Where the main Zira app is built for browsing and management across a computer or phone, the Operations App focuses on the operational dashboard for a single station or area — so an operator can see what matters and act during their shift.

## Who it is for

The Operations App is for operators and floor staff who need a simple, always-on view of their work center. It is typically set up by a supervisor or admin and then left running for the whole shift.

## What operators use it for

- **Day-to-day operations** — follow the live operational dashboard for their station or line.
- **Reporting** — capture readings, fill forms, and record what is happening on the floor.
- **KPI awareness** — keep an eye on throughput, quality, downtime, and other key metrics in real time.

## How it is different from the main app

- It runs at **op.zira.us**, separate from **my.zira.us**.
- It is designed for **tablets** rather than phones or computers.
- It usually runs in **kiosk mode** — full screen, focused on the operational dashboard, with minimal navigation.
- It is meant to stay on and in place at the work center, not to be carried around.

## What you see

The Operations App shows the operational dashboard configured for that station or area — the same dashboards and metrics you build in Zira, presented for quick reading and reporting at the work center.
