
Use **Data Streaming** when the dashboard should show live values in a compact card instead of a full table or chart.

## Add the widget

1. Open a dashboard.
2. Click **Dashboard options** next to the time range.
3. Click **Add widget**.
4. Choose **Data Streaming**.

## Configure the widget

When the setup screen opens:

1. enter the widget name
2. select the data source or **AI Vision Device**
3. choose the primary metric
4. choose an optional secondary metric
5. adjust the display settings
6. save the widget

Depending on the setup, you can also control:

- labels
- formatting
- center alignment
- header visibility
- metric-based conditions

## When to use Data Streaming

Use **Data Streaming** when:

- users need live values at a glance
- one or two important metrics should stay visible at all times
- the dashboard should feel live without showing a full video feed

## Tips

- choose metrics that update meaningfully in real time
- keep the labels short
- pair this widget with **Streaming** when users need both live values and live visual context

Data Streaming


Use the Validation tab when you want to review recorded validation sessions for a vision data source.

This tab is the main entry point for review work after the device has already captured validation videos or QA snapshots. From here, you can open the session, add review marks, and send useful examples into dataset work for model improvement.

## Before you start

Open the data source in Vision view, then click the **Validation** tab.

## How to use it

1. Open the data source.
2. Click the **Validation** tab.
3. Review the session list.
4. Click a session row to open its review page.
5. Use the review page to add marks, inspect the session, and move useful examples into dataset work.

## What you can do here

- Review validation sessions by date and time.
- Check how many marks already exist for a session.
- Open the marks count when you want to read existing review notes first.
- Use the session totals to understand how much review material is available before you open it.

The exact columns change by data source type:

- Vision video review shows **Raw**, **Val**, and **Total** counts for recorded clips.
- Pallet QA review shows **Images**, **Size**, and **Latest** so you can open snapshot-based sessions.

## Review Vision video sessions

Use this flow for video-based vision data sources.

- Click a session row to open **Video Review**.
- Use **Mark** to save feedback at the exact time in the clip.
- Use the marks list to jump back to saved moments.
- Use **Sample Images** when you want to create still images from the raw video around the saved marks.
- Choose the destination dataset and split when you sample images so the new frames are ready for model improvement work.

## Review pallet QA snapshot sessions

Use this flow for pallet-focused QA data sources.

- Click a session row to open the image-based review page.
- Review the image, the inspection summary, and the rest of the session in one place.
- Use **Mark** to flag issues such as missed defects or false defects.
- Save marked images so they can be reused in follow-up dataset work.
- Open **Gap analysis** from the session actions menu when you want to investigate unusual timing gaps between captured snapshots.

## Tips

- Open the marks count before you start if another teammate may already have reviewed the session.
- Use validation sessions to decide which examples are helpful enough to keep for future training.
- For video review, sample images only after your marks are in place so the extracted frames are centered around the right moments.
- For pallet QA, review the inspection details before marking an issue so you can compare the image with the device result.

Use **Streaming** when the dashboard should include live visual context from an **AI Vision Device**.

This widget is useful when people need to watch the live situation while also reviewing charts, KPIs, or routing information on the same page.

## Navigation

Open a dashboard, enter edit mode if needed, then choose **Add widget**.

Use **Streaming** when the dashboard should include a live video area.

## When to use it

The Streaming widget appears directly on the dashboard as a live video tile.

It works best when it has enough space to stay readable.

## Add the widget

1. Open a dashboard.
2. Click **Add widget**.
3. Choose **Streaming**.

## Configure the stream

When the widget opens:

1. Enter the widget name.
2. Select the **AI Vision Device**.
3. Choose the video rotation if needed.
4. Turn on the snapshot file name if you want it, and choose where it sits on the video.
5. Review the preview.
6. Save the widget.

## Show the snapshot file name

While the stream runs, the device saves an image for each frame it inspects and reports the file
name it used. The widget can show that name on top of the video.

This is **off unless you turn it on**, because the label covers a small part of the image. Switch
on **Show snapshot file name** when editing the widget.

This helps when someone needs to:

- match what they are watching to the stored image
- quote an exact file name when reporting a problem
- confirm the device is still saving images

The coloured dot beside the name shows whether the image has finished uploading:

- **green** — the image is saved and can be opened
- **amber** — the device has captured it but the upload is still in progress

Use **File Name Position** to move the label to any corner of the video. **Bottom left** is the
default, so the label stays clear of the player controls.

The device reports its most recent images, newest first. Click the arrow on the label to see the
others, and hover any of them for the full file name and the time it was captured.

Notes:

- The label only appears while live view is running, and clears when the stream stops.
- If the device is not reporting file names, no label appears.

## When to use Streaming

Use **Streaming** when:

- users need a live video view on the dashboard
- a visual check should sit beside charts, KPIs, or routing information
- the dashboard is used for active monitoring instead of historical review only

## Tips

- Use this widget only when the related AI Vision Device is available.
- Keep the widget large enough to remain useful.
- Place it near the widgets that describe the same device or process.
