Task Widgets
Use task widgets to track work items as a board, list, or statistics view inside a dashboard.
Use task widgets when the dashboard should help teams manage or monitor work, not only readings.
Task widgets can show the same work in different ways, depending on whether people need detail, workflow movement, or summary totals.
Navigation
Open a dashboard, enter edit mode if needed, then choose Add widget.
Task widgets are a good choice when the dashboard should include operational work, not only reporting.
Choose a task widget
Task widgets usually come in three common styles:
- Board for status-based workflow
- List for a denser table of tasks
- Task Statistics for totals and summary views
Board
Use Board when people need a visual workflow view.
This is helpful when the dashboard should show how tasks move across statuses and who owns the current work.
List
Use List when people need a denser operational table of tasks.
This is usually the best choice when they need sorting, assignees, due dates, and quick scanning across many items.
Task Statistics
Use Task Statistics when the dashboard should summarize task state instead of showing every task individually.
This works well for management views and quick operational summaries.
Common setup pattern
Task widgets often let you configure filters such as:
- channels or systems
- status
- assignee
- hashtag
- priority
- due date or done date ranges
- sort direction or grouping
Tips
- Use Board for active workflow management.
- Use List for detailed operational review.
- Use Task Statistics for summary dashboards.
