Fields and Structure
Add fields, organize sections, reorder the schema, and use conditional display when building a data source.
Use the field tools when you want to build the structure of the data source itself.
You can build the structure manually, or start with AI Assist and then refine the suggested fields.
Add fields
- Open the editor.
- Find Fields below the title and description.
- Click the icon for the field type you want.
The field toolbar stays visible while you scroll the editor, so you can add another field without returning to the top of the page. Hover over an icon to see the field type.
If you use AI Assist first, review the generated fields and then refine any titles, metrics, options, or descriptions as needed.
Use the main field groups
Depending on the data-source type, the editor can include groups such as:
- Basic Fields for text, number, physical measurement, date, and email
- Lists for dropdowns, checkbox fields, users, tasks, radio buttons, and arrays
- Widgets for labels, images, videos, documents, signatures, colors, and location-related content
Custom data sources focus on the most common data-entry field groups, while other types can expose a broader set of options.
Organize the structure
Use fields such as Section and Label when you want to make the data source easier to read.
This is useful when you need to:
- split the form into parts
- add visual separation
- explain a group of fields before the user reaches them
Reorder fields
Drag fields to change their order.
This is useful when you want to:
- move important fields higher
- group related values together
- improve how the preview flows from top to bottom
Select multiple fields
- Click Select.
- Choose the fields you want to work with together.
- Use Delete or Conditional Display if you want to update the selected fields together.
This helps when several fields should appear or hide together based on the same condition.
