
Use the **Events** tab when event timing matters for the current Vision workflow.

This tab helps you review scheduled events, add a new event, or change the timing of an existing one.

## Navigation

Open a Vision data source first, then click **Events**.

Use this tab when event schedules belong to one specific data source.

## Open the Events tab

1. Open a Vision data source.
2. Click **Events**.
3. Review the event list.

## What you can do here

Use this tab to:

- review event schedules
- create a new event
- edit an existing event
- turn an event on or off
- import event settings from another device

Use this tab when you want event-based timing instead of one-time manual actions.

## Tips

- Give each event a clear name so it is easier to understand the schedule later.
- Review the list before adding a new event so you can avoid overlap or duplicate entries.

Use the Dashboards tab when you want to review dashboards connected to the current channel or system.

## Open the Dashboards tab

1. Open a channel.
2. Click the **Dashboards** tab.

## Open a dashboard

1. Browse the dashboard list.
2. Select the dashboard you want.
3. Continue your work on the dashboard page.

## Create or attach a dashboard

1. Click the add button.
2. Create a new dashboard or attach an existing one, depending on what the page offers for this channel.

## Use this page as a dashboard entry point

This tab is often the easiest place to start when a dashboard should stay connected to the current channel workflow.

From here, you can:

- open an existing dashboard
- create a new dashboard
- attach a relevant dashboard to the current channel
- continue into widget setup and layout editing after the dashboard opens

## Tips

- Use this tab when dashboards are part of the workflow around the current channel.
- It is useful when you want dashboards already focused on the current channel.
- Open the **Dashboards** docs section if you want help with widget types, layout, or setup decisions after the dashboard is created.

Channel Dashboards


Use the **Grading** tab to tune how pallet defects affect the pallet score.

Grading does not choose a lane by itself. It controls defect weights. Routing can then use values such as **Pallet Score** or **Grade** when you want scoring to influence lane decisions.

## Open the Grading tab

1. Open a pallet vision data source.
2. Click the **Grading** tab.

The Grading tab is available for pallet devices that support pallet grading.

## How grading works

Each supported defect has a weight from **0** to **10**.

- Use **0** when a defect should not affect the pallet score.
- Use a low value for minor defects.
- Use a higher value for defects that should strongly affect the score.

The grading setup is saved as a defect-weight list. When pallet inspection results are processed, those weights are used to calculate the pallet score that can be reviewed or used by routing rules.

## Review the defect weights

The table shows one row per defect.

The supported defects are:

- **Mold**
- **Major Crack**
- **Broken**
- **Minor Crack**
- **Missing Board**
- **Missing Stringer**
- **Missing Block**
- **Twisted Block**
- **Damaged Block**

Each row has a slider and a number field. Both controls update the same weight.

## Change a weight

1. Find the defect you want to tune.
2. Drag the slider or enter a number in the weight field.
3. Pause for the automatic save to finish.
4. Review the confirmation message.

Changes are saved automatically after a short delay. You do not need to click a separate save button.

## Weight range

Weights must be between **0** and **10**.

If you type a value below **0** or above **10**, the field is corrected back into the allowed range when you leave the field.

## Defaults

If a pallet device does not have saved grading settings yet, Zira starts from the built-in defect weights:

| --- | ---: |
| Mold | 3 |
| Major Crack | 6 |
| Broken | 4 |
| Minor Crack | 2 |
| Missing Board | 0 |
| Missing Stringer | 3 |
| Missing Block | 3 |
| Twisted Block | 1 |
| Damaged Block | 9 |

Use these as a starting point, then adjust the weights to match the site policy.

## Use grading with routing

Use routing rules when grading should affect where pallets go.

1. Tune the defect weights in **Grading**.
2. Open the **Routing** tab.
3. Add a rule that checks **Pallet Score** or **Grade**.
4. Choose the lane and disposition for pallets that match the score rule.

For example, a site may route pallets with a high pallet score to **repair-lane** or **scrap-lane**, while pallets below the threshold continue to the default good lane.

## Tips

- Change one or two weights at a time so the effect is easier to understand.
- Use the number field when you need an exact weight.
- Use the slider when you want to compare several weights quickly.
- Give severe structural defects higher weights than cosmetic defects.
- Wait for the save confirmation before making a large round of changes.
