Documents
Use the Documents tab to review files, switch views, and keep document work connected to the current channel.
Use the Documents tab when you need to review files or work with documents related to the current channel.
This is the best place to stay when the files belong to one channel and you want to browse, open, add, or organize them without leaving that channel.
Navigation
Open a channel first, then click the Documents tab.
Use this tab when you want a file list that is already limited to the current channel.
Choose a file view
The Documents tab can show files in more than one way:
- List is useful when you want a table-like view.
- Grid is useful when you want larger file cards and previews.
Some files open in a preview, while others may open in a new browser tab or download, depending on the file type.
Open the Documents tab
- Open a channel.
- Click Documents.
- Review the files linked to that channel.
Find and open a file
- Open the Documents tab.
- Browse the list or switch views if that helps.
- Use search if you know part of the file name.
- Click the file you want to open.
Depending on the file, you may see a preview, a larger file page, or a new browser tab.
Add or organize documents
From this tab, you can work with files in several ways:
- add a new file
- attach an existing file
- rename a file
- remove a file from the channel
- download or share a file
This makes it easier to keep channel files together in one place.
Tips
- Use List when you want to scan names and dates quickly.
- Use Grid when previews help you recognize the file faster.
- Stay in this tab when the file belongs to the current channel and you may need to open related files next.
