QA Snapshots

Use the QA Snapshots widget to show the latest QA review images from a Vision data source directly on a dashboard.

Use QA Snapshots when the dashboard should show the latest QA images without making people leave the page.

This widget is helpful when teams want a quick visual check of recent pallets, recent review outcomes, or the latest QA evidence from one Vision data source.

Navigation

Open a dashboard, enter edit mode if needed, then choose Add widget.

Use QA Snapshots when one dashboard should include recent QA images as part of the workflow.

When to use it

The QA Snapshots widget shows recent images from one selected Vision data source.

Each item can also show lightweight review context such as the result or matched rule summary.

When someone clicks a snapshot, the full review page opens in a full-screen view above the dashboard so it is easy to return.

Live updates

While the dashboard shows a range that includes now (for example Today), the widget follows the line as it runs:

  • Each new pallet's image appears as soon as the device finishes uploading it, usually within a few seconds of the pallet passing.

Only the first page updates live. If you page back to older images, they stay put until you return to the first page. A range fully in the past, such as Yesterday, does not change.

Add the widget
  1. Open a dashboard.
  2. Click Add widget.
  3. Choose QA Snapshots.
Configure the widget

When the setup screen opens:

  1. enter the widget name
  2. select the Vision data source
  3. choose how many recent images to show
  4. choose List or Gallery
  5. adjust the image size and text size if needed
  6. review the preview
  7. save the widget
Choose a display style

Use List when:

  • you want a compact widget
  • the date, result, and rule summary matter most
  • the widget needs to fit beside other dashboard cards

Use Gallery when:

  • visual scanning matters more
  • people need larger thumbnails
  • the widget should feel more like a visual strip of recent QA activity
Mark without opening anything

Turn on Show mark buttons and the review categories sit on the card — one tap marks the image.

With Single display, set Select crossings to On the card. The board × stringer crossings are drawn on the snapshot, you tap the ones a defect is in, and pressing a category records exactly those crops. That turns five steps into two. Leave it on In a dedicated dialog to keep picking them inside the reviewer.

Which one to use depends on your reviewers:

  • Marking on the card is quickest when the annotation boxes already tell them which crossing is wrong and they only need to say so.
  • Opening the snapshot is better when the call is genuinely close. There the image is full resolution and the magnifier is available, and a crossing on the card is only as sharp as the card's thumbnail.
Review snapshots from the dashboard

Selecting a snapshot opens a full-screen reviewer built for judging the image, without leaving the dashboard.

Hover a snapshot and use the mark icon to add a review mark right there on the tile — it opens just the Add review mark dialog for that image, without opening the reviewer at all.

In the reviewer you can:

  • Magnify small details. The magnifier shows the frame at the camera's own resolution, which is what makes a nail head or a hairline crack readable. It is on by default on a computer. On a tablet or phone it starts off — pinch to zoom instead, and the toolbar button is there if you want the magnifier as well.
  • Work slice by slice. On pallet cameras the reviewer can draw the board and stringer crossings and let you pick the ones a defect is in. A mark then records exactly which crops you meant, so the next person sees the same ones.
  • Step through your filtered list. The arrows (or , and .) move through the snapshots the widget is already showing, so a defect filter carries straight into the reviewer and keeps going past the end of a capture session.
  • See what is already marked. Existing marks are shown at the top, so an image does not get judged twice.
  • Show or hide the detection boxes and their labels, and switch to a lower-resolution preview on a slow connection.

Back returns to the dashboard rather than leaving it, and Back to dashboard does the same.

Model runs and copying images into a dataset stay on the full Image Review page — open it with the link beside the snapshot's name.

On a tablet
  • Tap a crossing to select it.
  • Press and hold to magnify, then slide your finger to move the magnified view.
  • Pinch to zoom the image itself, and drag to move around it.
Tips
  • Use a small number of images when the dashboard already has many widgets.
  • Use Gallery with larger image size when the dashboard is mainly for QA review.
  • Place this widget near related Streaming, Data Streaming, or routing widgets when the same Vision data source is being monitored.
  • If people need the widget quickly, ask AI Dashboard Builder to create it by naming the data source and the display mode you want.
