
Use **Profile** when you want to keep your account details up to date.

## Open your profile

1. Look for your profile picture in the top-right app area.
2. Click your profile picture.
3. Select **Profile**.

## Update your profile image and details

Use the **Profile image** area when you want to replace your photo.

Use the **Personal details** area when you want to review or update fields such as:

- **First Name**
- **Last Name**
- **Mobile Phone**
- **Job title**
- **Country**

If your team uses signatures for forms or approvals, use **Change Signature** to update it.

## Save your changes

1. Review the information you changed.
2. Click **Save**.
3. Wait for the updated details to be saved.

Your updated profile helps teammates recognize you and keeps your account details current.

Update Your Profile


Use **AI Assist** when you want a faster starting point for a custom data source.

Instead of building the structure one field at a time, you can describe what you want and let AI draft the first version directly in the editor.

## Open AI Assist

1. Open a channel.
2. Click the **Data Sources** tab.
3. Click **Add Data Source**.
4. Select **Custom**.
5. In the editor, click **AI Assist**.

AI Assist opens beside the editor so you can keep the field list and preview in view while you work.

## What AI Assist can draft

You can ask AI Assist to draft:

- the title
- the description
- the main field structure
- sections and labels
- required fields
- dropdown options
- calculated fields
- validation limits

## Ask for the right level of detail

AI Assist works best when your request explains:

- what the data source is for
- which values users should enter
- which fields are required
- which values should be calculated
- whether any limits or checks should be enforced

Good requests usually describe the workflow, not just the page.

## Review the draft

After AI Assist responds, it shows a compact draft card. Click the draft card to expand it when you want to review:

- the suggested title
- the description
- each suggested field
- validation details
- options for list fields
- any expression that was suggested

Use **Apply draft** when you want to copy the draft into the editor. On a new data source, AI Assist can apply the first draft automatically so you can start editing right away.

## Understand metric matching

When possible, Zira tries to match suggested fields to existing metrics with the same name.

If a relevant metric does not already exist:

- the field can still be added
- the metric stays empty
- you can create or select the right metric manually in the editor

This helps AI Assist stay helpful without forcing the wrong metric onto a field.

## Choose how to apply the draft

Before you apply the result, choose whether to:

- replace the current fields
- or append the new fields to what you already have

Use **Replace current fields** when you want a fresh start. Turn it off when you want AI to extend a draft you already began.

When you edit an existing data source, Zira asks you to confirm before replacing existing fields. This helps prevent accidental removal.

## Refine after applying

After applying the draft:

- adjust field names if needed
- review metrics
- update any dropdown options
- fine-tune validation
- test expressions carefully before saving

AI Assist applies changes to the editor first. Review the result, then click **Save** when it is ready. Use **Discard changes** if you want to return to the last saved version.

Use the **Remote Control** tab when you want to work with the camera live.

## Before you start

Open a data source, then select **Remote Control**.

## How to use it

1. Open **Remote Control**.
2. Click **Start live view** on the right.
3. Wait for the live image to open.
4. Use the actions on the right when you need them.

## What you can do here

- **Start live view** opens the live camera view.
- **Stop live view** closes the live camera view.
- **Record videos** opens the video recording window.
- **Image sampling** lets you collect images automatically.
- **Data stream** opens the live data panel.
- **Device settings** opens the device's settings, kept in sync with the device.
- **Trim saw stops** calibrates a trim saw's cut positions — see [Trim Saw Stops](/docs/ai-vision/trim-saw-stops).

## Record videos

Use **Record videos** when you want to save new videos from the device.

You can choose:

- what kind of video to record
- how long each video should be
- how many videos to save
- how much time to wait between videos

## Image sampling

Use **Image sampling** when you want to save still images automatically.

You can choose:

- how often to save an image
- how many images to collect

## Data stream

Use **Data stream** when you want to see live device data next to the camera view.

## Device settings

Use **Device settings** when you want to adjust how the device runs. The settings stay **synced with the device**, so you always see what's actually in use.

Settings are grouped into tabs down the side — such as **Camera**, **Sampling**, **Detection**, **Measurement**, **Validation**, and **Overlays** — so you can jump straight to the area you need. Use **Cancel** to close without saving, or **Save** to send your changes to the device.

### Overlays

Use the **Overlays** tab when you want to line up the guides that sit on top of the picture — the detection **mask**, **ruler lines**, and the **zero point**.

- Choose whether to place the overlays over a **live view**, a **recorded video**, or a **still image**.
- **Drag the handles** to move or resize each overlay directly on the picture.
- Use the **Layers** list on the right to add, hide, or remove individual overlays.
- Click **Save** to send the updated overlays to the device.

## Trim saw stops

On a trim saw camera, **Trim saw stops** calibrates the saw from here: the camera measures where the
stops are while you watch the live view, and you tell it what size each one cuts.
